Every day, people are taking photos with their smartphones. Unlike the old days where we filled a camera with photos and then sent them to be developed and printed out, most of our photos these days just stay on our digital devices. Passing round a smartphone full of photos doesn’t quite feel the same as looking at a good old photo album. It would be great if we could also print these out from our smartphones and other digital devices.

Not long ago, pocket printers were created that hooked up to your smartphone and allowed you to print your photos onto inkless paper. Now, Fujifilm has invented a product that allows you to print your digital photos onto instant film. Fujifilm’s Instax Share SP-2 has been released as an improvement on their original Share SP-1.

The Share SP-2 prints your photos onto Instax’s mini format instant Instax film. The new release has several improvements over their first model. It prints photos on average six seconds faster than its predecessor – 10 seconds as opposed to 16 seconds. It is also much quieter when it prints and produces much sharper images. The printer is powered by a rechargeable battery that can be charged via a micro USB.

Fujifilm have also added a number of filters and templates you can add to your photos to give them an extra flair. As well as this, you can add information to the picture, such as when and where it was taken, the weather, the temperature, and even the humidity at the time it was taken. There is also a new collage mode that means you can stitch two or four images together to print a collage of your digital photos.

To connect your smartphone or tablet to the pocket printer, all you need to do is download the Share app, which is free to download for both iOS and Android. So, you can start storing and sharing physical keepsakes of good memories once again with Fujifilm’s Instax Share SP-2.
