In May this year, Wrexham-based flatbed plotter and cutter supplier, Graphtec GB released a new digital die-cutter as an improvement on their original CE6000-40 model. The new sheet fed device utilises the manufacturer’s i-Mark software. Graphtec will also soon be launching a wider version of the model – the CE6000-60.

The new model allows printers to feed and cut up to 120 sheets in a single job, taking between 30 and 40 seconds per sheet. It can handle paper, adhesive materials and boards at a range of weights, up to 350gsm, up to sizes of 330x483mm.

The new Graphtec model is aimed at printers in the short-run label, print and packaging market. Neil Roberts, sales director for Graphtec GB, states how the short-run labelling market can face difficulties as time and money can be wasted without having the proper equipment for cutting. Their new system is designed to quickly and efficiently produce custom shapes on almost any self-adhesive material they want to print on.

The main upgrade to this new model is the addition of an automatic sheet feeder, vastly improving speed and efficiency of the process. Including this new sheet feeder and the collection tray, the new CE6000-40 now has a footprint of 600x670mm.

The new and improved Graphtec GB CE6000-40 die-cutter is available for £3,550. The efficiency and customisation abilities of the new model will really help to make products stand out and lend to more efficient processes, at an affordable price.
