The World’s First Mini Robotic Printer Is Here!
Quite possibly the coolest thing we’ve seen this month, ZUtA Labs has released a video of its innovative new product: a portable mini robotic printer.
ZUtA labs began with a KickStarter campaign and this latest innovation is currently available for pre-order on the crowdfunding website.
This tiny portable printer weighs in at just 350g and is just 10cm in diameter. Although it might not be the fastest printer in the world – it takes around a minute to print one page – it is certainly the most portable.
The battery holds a charge for a full hour’s worth of printing, and one ink cartridge can print around 100+ pages at 300 dpi. If you aren’t in a rush, this is a very cool little printer.
Using Wi-Fi connectivity, and with support for Android, iOS, OSX, and Windows, the ZUtA Robotic Printer enables you to print any size paper from PCs, laptops, tablets and smartphones.
Because it finds its own way over the page after you’ve lined it up with the top of the paper, it is possible to print just one page at a time. If you send more than one page to be printed, the printer will stop at the bottom of the first page, and wait for you to align it with the top of the next page. Then simply tap on the app to proceed with printing.
ZUtA labs hopes to start shipping the mini robotic printer in Spring 2018.
