Declare your love for print and get print trending on social media on October 18, 2017. October 18 is International Print Day and this year’s theme is “The Print Experience”.The theme is intended to be “a celebration of everything that makes print unique in the marketing mix”.

The aim is to get people talking about the unique qualities of print, what makes it special, and the special ways print and paper communications can connect with your customers and communities.


Organizers are asking everyone to get involved using the hashtags #IPD17 and #PRINTUX.

The idea is to share projects, blogs, case studies, great digital media and cool print to really show off what is possible in print. Whether you are a student, a company, or simply an aficionado, International Print Day organizers are asking you to share what you love!

International Print Day was established by Deborah Corn of US trade group Print Media Center. in 2014 to provide a unifying yearly event in which the whole industry could get together to connect, to find new business opportunities, and to share knowledge, innovation and ideas.

The original event, International Print Day 2014, ran from 6pm ET on October 7, 2014 to 8pm ET on October 8, 2014 and generated 8,683 tweets to more than 23 million timelines with 1,271 contributors.

The 2015 hashtag #IPD15 generated an impressive 27 million timeline deliveries in just under 24 hours. And, in 2016, #IPD16 generated 6,555 tweets delivered to more than 30 million timelines.

Organisers are hoping that this year they can continue to raise the conversation and beat those stats again.
